The Suspiciously Elvis Full Live Band

Darren Loveday

Guitar

Our exceptional guitarist, Darren Loveday, has worked alongside some of the biggest names in music. His impressive resume includes collaborations with Brian May, Westlife, Katherine Jenkins, Tony Hadley, Sharon Corr, Craig David, Chris De Burgh, Lulu, Albert Lee, Huey Lewis, Ronan Keating, Mika, Sharleen Spiteri, Don McLean, John Barrowman, Richard Hawley, Glen Campbell, Kiki Dee, Suzi Quatro, David Soul, Charlotte Church, Ewan McGregor, Rick Astley, Gabriella Cilmi, Paul Carrack, Tony Christie, Ronnie Corbett, Beverley Knight, John Legend, Raul Malo, Billy Ocean, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Mica Paris, Marti Pellow, Rumer, Leon Russell, Sandie Shaw, Judie Tzuke – including original members of Elvis Presley’s legendary TCB Band.

Darren spent several years as a member of the Shakin’ Stevens band and continues to perform regularly with Katrina Leskanich (of Katrina and the Waves fame).

Most recently, Darren played guitar on the chart-topping ‘Military Wives Choir’ album produced by Jon Cohen, which reached number 1 in the UK album charts.

Not only is Darren a phenomenal guitarist, but he also brings something uniquely special to the Suspiciously Elvis show—a custom vocal processor that recreates the rich harmonies of the Jordanaires, adding a powerful nostalgic touch to the performance.

Mike Drinkwater

Piano

Tony Brown

Drums

Quite simply, Tony is the heartbeat of the entire performance. As one of only two remaining original band members, his journey began early—banging on pots and pans with wooden spoons at just eight years old. After a decade-long break from music, Tony reunited with long-time friend and bandmate Phil Wellington in 1998 to form the successful and enduring covers band Undercover, which is still going strong today.

In 2001, Tony played a pivotal role in creating the Suspiciously Elvis Show and has proudly held the drummer’s seat ever since. His dedication to mastering the unique drumming style essential for this show is second to none. Through hours of studying footage of Elvis and legendary drummer Ronny Tutt, Tony has captured the playful, dynamic connection the two shared.

From the iconic opening drum roll of “C.C. Rider” to the breakneck energy of “Suspicious Minds” and the powerful finale, Tony never takes his eyes off Suspiciously Elvis—mirroring the same commitment Ronny Tutt had with the King himself. His role is not only the most demanding but arguably the most crucial in the entire show.

So intense is Tony’s performance that he’s become known for sweating through two—sometimes even three—shirts in a single show. A true testament to his passion, precision, and relentless “hard workin’” spirit.

Pat Macathy

Bass

Pat has played bass in a wide range of original and function bands, covering styles from hard rock to soul and jazz. His musical versatility and rock-solid groove have made him a sought-after player on stages across the UK and beyond.

Since 2013, Pat has toured extensively with Katrina (formerly of Katrina and the Waves), performing across the UK, Europe, and the USA as her trusted bassist.

More recently, Pat joined the Suspiciously Elvis line-up—and what a game-changer he’s been. His mastery of the Jerry Scheff style of bass playing is nothing short of exceptional. With remarkable attention to detail, he delivers the deep, driving energy that gives the show its edge and power.

On stage, Pat is the embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll—standing tall like a rock god, playing with total command, and (according to some) bearing a faint resemblance to Jeremy Corbyn… but only just.
